From the Times Tonight

Halliburton and BP knew all along?! What now after all of this? I'm a bit speechless because this is such a big controversy. Will they be punished further? Is so, what's suitable? I think I should do a bit of research here.

Perry, the governor of Texas, is an ass. Seriously, this is about Texas, what you can do for Texas, not about how Obama's policies have messed up Texas. He's been governor for like 10 years and I feel that if he hasn't perfected things in Texas, he can't in the future. Obama has nothing to do about it. I hate that no one is bringing up Bush in any of this when he kinda helped mess things up. *Shrug* Maybe I'm missing something. I feel that this is very disrespectful to our President. Even if you don't agree with his policies, he is our President. To me, it's unAmerican to disrespect the head of our country.

The Senate races. We did a report on this in class and I think there was a bit of a shift here. Oringinally, Republicans were in the lead but there are now 46 "solid and continuing" seats for Democrats and 35 "solid and continuing" seats for Republicans. I will do more research on this this weekend.

With the House race, Republicans are actually in the lead. BUT there are 109 seats that are leaning one way or in a toss up. Who knows how this one can end? Just pay attention to the news and polls.

The Texas Governor's race. I'm a Texan. Darn proud! These numbers aren't surprising because we are a very red state. According the the Time's numbers, 44% voted for President Barack Obama and 55% for McCain.  The Time's predict that Perry has a 92% chance of winning while White only has an 8% chance. I'm nervous! I love Mayor White. I've shaken his hand at a parade and believe he does all he can  as mayor and know he'll do well as governor. I wish him luck. And also, I wish more people to vote. It's your right, no matter who you vote for. Just get out and vote! It's the American thing to do!

THIS JUST IN! Lol. Not a joking matter at all about the suspicious packages with explosives in them that were found to day. There are measures being taken to find if there are more packages of this nature. They were being shipped to synagogues in Chicago. I am very happy that this didn't turn out so bad. Why Chicago? Why synagogues? It's worth the attention to the development of this situation.

I think this is all for tonight. I'll be back if I find something else interesting.
